Unknown Objects

This tab displays a list of objects configured to automatically start (which can be a potential warning flag for malware) that SpyHunter 5 could not categorize through its definitions file. You may enable any program(s) identified as unknown objects that you are familiar with and wish to keep by selecting "Enable" in the selection box next to it. Alternatively, you may leave any programs disabled that you do not recognize. Disabled programs can be re-enabled at any time through the "Disabled" section, in the "Malware/PC Scan" dialog.

Certain unknown objects (in specific file paths generally associated with Windows system files) are protected from being disabled by users in order to prevent potential issues with the Windows OS. These protected objects are displayed in this tab, but cannot be manually disabled when SpyHunter 5 is running with default settings. If you believe that a protected object may be adversely affecting your system, please contact our support department via the SpyHunter HelpDesk.

Note: Objects that you choose to disable are encrypted, removed from your system, and backed up in SpyHunter's "Disabled" section. Disabled objects can be re-enabled and restored to your system through this interface, which is accessible via SpyHunter 5’s "Malware/PC Scan" tab. Disabling an object also attempts to disable the object's auto-start capabilities.
