Attentive Antivirus is part of the WinWeb Security family of malware. Attentive Antivirus is a fake anti-virus application that is used to steal money from inexperienced computer users. Basically, criminals try to trick their victims into paying for a 'full version' of this rogue security application. When Attentive Antivirus is installed on the victim's computer, Attentive Antivirus displays a large number of false positives and alarming error messages in an attempt to steal money from the computer user. Typically, Attentive Antivirus and other fake security programs are distributed using typical malware distribution methods, including the use of spam email messages containing malicious file attachments, attack websites designed to infect visitors' computer systems and social engineering scams that scam computer users by deceiving them. If Attentive Antivirus is installed on your computer, ESG security researchers strongly recommend the use of a reliable anti-malware application to remove this threat.

Prejudicial Changes Made by Attentive Antivirus to Your PC’s Settings

Attentive Antivirus is designed to make harmful changes to your computer's settings that allow Attentive Antivirus to start up automatically when Windows starts up. Attentive Antivirus runs a bogus scan of the infected computer and notifies the computer user that there is a severe malware infection on the victim's computer. How to Avoid Becoming a Victim of the Attentive Antivirus Scam

If Attentive Antivirus is installed on your computer, it is important to ignore all of its instructions and fake notifications. Instead, Attentive Antivirus should be removed with the help of a reliable anti-malware application immediately.
