Windows Security Master is a rogue security application in the FakeVimes family of threats. Malware analysts consider that Windows Security Master and its many clones all present a significant threat to your computer. There are hundreds of variants of Windows Security Master in the FakeVimes family of threats. Typically, all of these fake security programs use the same basic interface and approach, with the only difference between Windows Security Master variants being the name. The vast majority of Windows Security Master variants tend to have very similar names, often starting with the word 'Windows' followed by two words indicating that it is a security program of some sort.
