My Security Wall

My Security Wall Description

Type: Rogue AntiSpyware Programs

My Security Wall is a rogue security application from the same family as Virus Doctor, the FakeVimes family. The trial version of My Security Wall is promoted with the help of Trojans and bogus online system scanners. Once inside a system My Security Wall will create a registry entry that will ensure that it is executed with each system start-up. Then My Security Wall will conduct a fake system scan and detect a number of harmless files as dangerous malware. My Security Wall will also launch numerous security alerts and annoying pop-ups in order to trick a victim into believing the system is infected and the only solution is to purchase the "full" version of My Security Wall. My Security Wall is also able to modify the Hosts file, thus redirecting victims to malicious websites. My Security Wall, as well as its many clones, is an illegitimate program that should never be purchased.

Clones of My Security Wall include Virus Melt, Presto TuneUp, Fast Antivirus 2009, Extra Antivirus, Windows Security Suite, Smart Virus Eliminator, Packed.Generic.245, Volcano Security Suite, Windows Enterprise Suite, Enterprise Suite, Additional Guard, PC Live Guard, Live PC Care, Live Enterprise Suite, Security Antivirus, CleanUp Antivirus, Smart Security, Windows Protection Suite, Windows Work Catalyst.
