GuardWWW infiltrates a computer using trojans found in fake video codecs, promising to allow the user to view an online video. Once your system has GuardWWW installed, it starts to scan your computer detecting supposed malware that is claimed to only be removed with a full version of GuardWWW. GuardWWW is not able to effectively detect or remove malware. GuardWWW may come from malicious websites where it is falsely advertised and sold as an application that is able to provide protection against spyware, viruses, adware and malware.
