APcSafe Image

APcSafe is a rogue anti-spyware program that scares its victims with fabricated reports claiming parasites are lurking on the computer. APcSafe uses malicious Trojans to spread, or it can be downloaded from a malicious website. APcSafe will infiltrate a system and perform a fake system scan without the user's permission. On completion of the scan APcSafe will claim that your computer is critically infected with malware, followed by a recommendation to purchase the full version in order to remove the supposed threats. All scan reports, pop-ups and virus alerts from APcSafe are false and must never be trusted.

APcSafe belongs to the FakeSmoke family which include roguewares such as WiniFighter, WiniShield, SaveKeep, SaveKeeper, SoftSafeness, TrustWarrior, WiniGuard, SecurityFighter, Security Soldier, SecureVeteran, Secure Warrior, Trust Cop, Safe Fighter, Trust Soldier, Virus Protector, BlockDefense, Security Soldier, TrustNinja, SaveDefense, SystemCop.
