Deno Ransomware

The Deno Ransomware is a file-blocking Trojan that could invade your system when you work alongside corrupted advertisements, hoax websites, load fake downloads, games and pirated software. However, an easy way to stay safe from the Deno Ransomware attack is to install a reputable anti-malware software since it can provide your system with the necessary defenses against threatening software.

Security researchers found out that the Deno Ransomware is a variant of the Conti Ransomware family and, like the countless ransomware threats lurking the Internet, was created to extort its victims to generate a monetary gain for its developers. As soon as the Deno Ransomware gains control of a system, it will start locking archives, videos, documents, images and other files. All files locked by the Deno Ransomware will be easily recognizable because they will display the suffix '.DENO' at the end of their names. The Deno Ransomware also displays a ransom note, 'readme.txt' on the victim's desktop.

The short note only advises against the use of another decryption software and provides two email addresses to contact the attackers:

'Your network is LOCKED. Do not try to use other software. For decryption KEY write HERE:
flapalinta1950@protonmail.com
xersami@protonmail.com'

However, it is a very risky decision to trust the criminals behind the Deno Ransomware. In the first place, it is very unlikely that they will help their victims. Therefore, victims of the Deno Ransomware should use a specialized anti-malware product to remove the malware, and then look for other data recovery measures.
