PC Protection Center Description
PC Protection Center (PC ProtectionCenter) is a fake security application from the FakeCog (CoreGuard) family that should not be trusted. When inside, PC Protection Center will appear to scan the computer before detecting several viruses, system errors and start-up failures. PC Protection Center will use the scan report as well as security alerts and pop-ups to scare a user into believing that his/her system is infested with malware that can only be removed with it licensed version. To scare a victim even more, PC Protection Center may also block access to Task Manager and other essential programs. Users that click on the scan report or security alerts displayed by this rogue will be redirected to a malicious website which acts as the payment page for PC Protection Center. Never purchase PC Protection Center, its a useless application that can neither detect nor remove malware from computers.
