The MoviesWorld New Tab is associated with the MoviesWorld New Tab browser extension for Google Chrome users, which is published by Theappzworld.com. The MoviesWorld New Tab browser extension is promoted to deliver the latest news on the Hollywood productions and popular TV series. The MoviesWorld extension from Theappzworld.com is designed to add a drop-down menu to Chrome and change the new tab page to an embedded page powered by Search.theappzworld.com. The Search.theappzworld.com domain works as a redirect-gateway to Search.yahoo.com. The Search.theappzworld.com gateway is identical to the Movie.eanswers.com portal, which is used by the FilmsApp Home, the VideoJunkie Search, the MoviesFriendly Search Toolbar, the StreamJunkie Search and the FilmsNet Start. Software developers employed by Eanswers.com produce a plethora of browser extensions related to Movie.eanswers.com.
The MoviesWorld drop-down menu is powered by another site called Gomovix.com where you are welcomed to search for TV series and movies of interest. The MoviesWorld New Tab is observed to include links to content on Gomovix.com and automated search queries for popular video streaming platforms like Netflix, Vudu, Hulu and the Amazon Instant Video. The Gomovix.com site is not a video streaming platform, and it offers only trailers, promotional photos, and links to search results on Netflix, Vudu, Hulu and the Amazon Instant Video. The MoviesWorld browser extension is perceived as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) by Theappzworld.com and might not satisfy your expectations. The MoviesWorld New Tab is known to trigger browser redirects via Search.theappzworld.com to Yahoo and generate notifications from Gomovix.com. We found that the MoviesWorld New Tab has a clone called Movies Search by MyMediaNetNow.com that you can find on Chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/movies-search/ehajnnplicdlmalblkgpkhhbogkbmiee. It may be a good idea to remove MoviesWorld and the Movies Search with the assistance of a respected anti-spyware scanner that can clean residual tracking cookies and restore your browser settings.
