The Hostify software that is found at Hostify.lu may arrive on your PC bundled with free program installers and run with Windows during the boot-up process. Users that did not install the Hostify software intentionally may be surprised to see it load with Windows and make an entry in the 'Programs and Features' panel. The Hostify software is promoted as a free alternative to well-known applications like Connectify Hotspot and Virtual Router. Computer users that own a router and wish to share their Internet with their WiFi-enabled devices may be interested in installing the Hostify program, but you should reconsider. Security researchers reveal that the Hostify software falls into the category of adware because advertisers may take advantage of its system integration to push numerous marketing materials in the Internet browser of infected users. Additionally, the Hostify adware may affect your Internet experience on your smartphone too.
The Hostify adware is known to change the DNS configuration of the systems it is installed on.
