WebSearchy.com is a browser hijacker website that, upon installation on a computer system, may insert a Web browser extension, plug-in or add-on into Web browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. The extension, plug-in and add-on or a WebSearchy toolbar may replace the Web browser's default search service and start pages and a variety of other features such as 404 errors and DNS redirection. The WebSearchy browser hijacker may also alter the default browser settings that might reduce its security levels. WebSearchy is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that may interrupt with the functions of the Web browser's normal features and Web search activities. With the help of the WebSearchy browser hijacker disturbing pop-up ads may be shown on WebSearchy.com.
