STARR aka ActMon, is a commercial spyware program. STARR can be used to log user keystrokes, capture online chats, record the addresses of visited websites and take screen shots. Once STARR has gathered enough information, it will send it to a predefined e-mail address where it can be easily accessed by a third party. STARR is able to run in the background of a system without a user's knowledge or permission and it modifies the registry to ensure that it is executed on every Windows start-up.
