OS(es) Affected: Windows is a rogue website. It follows the behavior of countless other similarly untrustworthy pages that all try to exploit the legitimate push notifications browser feature for monetary gains. In essence, the tactic propagated by these sites revolves around tricking users into unknowingly subscribing to the specific page's push notifications. Typically, this is achieved via misleading and deceptive messages that hide the true purpose of the site., for example, could greet its visitors with messages similar to:

'Click 'Allow' to continue'

'Click 'Allow' to watch the video'

When users follow the instructions expecting to get access to the promised additional content, they would instead enable the site's notification. As a result, could start delivering various unwanted advertisements to the system. Users are likely to be presented with advertisemnts promoting highly suspicious destinations. It is not uncommon for rogue websites to promote phishing or technical support schemes, fake giveaways, shady online betting/gaming platforms and more.
