The Searchvvay.com portal appears to feature a design that is a near-perfect clone of Google.com. The owners of the Searchvvay.com portal use the same layout as Google.com to claim credibility and convince users that they offer the same or better search results. The browser hijacker linked to Searchvvay.com is programmed to alter the Internet settings of infected users and reroute their search operations to take place at Searchvvay.com. The search field at Searchvvay.com is simply a grabbing form to collect search terms from users and redirect them to the legitimate Google.com domain. The purpose of the Searchvvay.com browser hijacker is to load advertisements that are related to the user`s online habits. Security investigators reveal that the owners of the Searchvvay.com portal are the same ones behind Yessearches.com.
Additionally, the Searchvvay.com browser hijacker may show pop-up and pop-under windows to urge users to install riskware such as the Babylon Toolbar and Omiga Plus.
