The SafeSearch Toolbar is an application that is developed by AVSoftware, Ltd., may accompany their system optimizer dubbed MaxPerforma Optimizer, as well as travel with freeware bundles. The SafeSearch Toolbar is supposed to help users surf the Internet safely and benefit from safe search results on Safesearch.net. The search engine of the SafeSearch Toolbar may look familiar because it is tailored to look like the original Google engine, but users may be surprised to notice that Safesearch.net would redirect them to results at Bing.com. Additionally, the SafeSearch Toolbar may enable the SecureDNS module by AVSoftware, Ltd. and change your DNS settings to block unsafe sites from loading. However, the SafeSearch Toolbar is recognized as Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that might change your start page and default search provider to Safesearch.net and edit your system's DNS configuration.
The SafeSearch Toolbar may be compatible with all major Web browsers and available as an XPI, CRX, and BHO file. The SafeSearch Toolbar may provide users with screenshots of the sites they find on Bing.com, which may be useful, but it may block your access to sites that are not whitelisted by AVSoftware, Ltd. The SafeSearch Toolbar may decrease your browser performance, and you may experience browser crashes when you attempt to open more than five tabs. The SafeSearch Toolbar may interfere with the security certificates of your HTTPS connections and interrupt your online activity, which may result in data loss and exposure to cyber threats like Runfore and Phremous. Computer users that value their files and want to access their favorite sites unhindered may wish to remove the SafeSearch Toolbar with the help of a reliable anti-spyware application.
