MaxPerforma Optimizer
Maxperforma Optimizer is a Potentially Unwanted Program that has been associated with the SafeSearch Toolbar, a known PUP that has numerous unwanted effects on affected Web browsers. Maxperforma Optimizer is not considered a threat and is not as severe as rogue security programs. However, once installed, Maxperforma Optimizer may cause various symptoms that may disrupt with computer users' activities.
Security researchers have received reports that Maxperforma Optimizer causes various symptoms on affected Web browsers, usually in an effort to profit from advertising and to promote other PUPs. Maxperforma Optimizer makes unwanted changes to the affected Web browser settings, such as installing other toolbars, chasing the affected Web browser's homepage or search engine and affecting the Web browser's security settings. Maxperforma Optimizer may also hijack the affected Web browser and add unwanted advertising content to Web pages viewed on the affected Web browser. Maxperforma Optimizer may cause the appearance of pop-up advertisements, insert in-text marketing links and include banners in websites viewed on the victim's Web browser.
Deleting Maxperforma Optimizer
Unlike other kind of threats, Maxperforma Optimizer may be removed using ordinary software removal methods. In most cases, you can delete Maxperforma Optimizer using the 'Add and Remove Programs' on the Windows Control Panel or your Web browser's extension manager. However, since Maxperforma Optimizer may expose your computer to potentially unsafe content, security researchers recommend the use of a strong anti-malware program to ensure that this is not the case. Also, Maxperforma Optimizer makes changes to the settings of your Web browser. Those changes may need to be unsettled manually.
