RegHunter integrates several tools that speed up PC performance through automated optimizations. The Optimization panel (1) gives you easy access to five tools: Defragment Your Registry (2), Defragment Databases (3), Cleanup Windows Service Pack Backups (4), Remove Remote Desktop Cache (5), Remove Windows Event Logs (6), Defragment Your Hard Drive (7), Optimize Your System (8) and Disable AutoPlay (9).

Clicking Defragment Your Registry (2) will run RegHunter's built-in registry defragmentation. Registry defragmentation improves Windows registry access speed and performance.

Clicking Defragment Databases (3) will run RegHunter’s built-in database defragmentation. Database defragmentation will save disk space and allow some software to perform better.

Clicking Cleanup Windows Service Pack Backups (4) will find and remove installation files that were used to install a Windows Service Pack for the system in the event that a backup was required. Performing this process may free up disk space.

Clicking Remove Remote Desktop Cache (5) will delete unnecessary Remote Desktop cache files. Performing this process may free up disk space.

Clicking Remove Windows Event Logs (6) will delete hardware and software event logs from the system. Removal of the Windows Event Logs may free up space on the system’s hard drive.

Clicking Defragment Your Hard Drive (7) will launch the Windows Disk Defragmenter utility. This utility will analyze and defragment your hard drive to obtain optimal disk performance.

When you click Optimize Your System (8), RegHunter will make several modifications to your Windows configuration to speed up your PC. You can reverse these changes at any time by clicking "Undo Optimization".

Clicking Disable AutoPlay (9) will disable the Windows auto-play feature. It is recommended to disable this feature to prevent malware on compromised CDs, DVDs and USB drives from automatically running when the media is connected to your PC. This feature can be re-enabled at any time by clicking the "Enable AutoPlay" button.

When you click Run Cleanup Wizard… (10) RegHunter will automatically open the Windows Disk Cleanup utility. During the Disk Cleanup process, Windows will determine items that you can cleanup to free up disk space by eliminating unnecessary files.

When you click Optimize All (11), RegHunter will automatically run all optimization processes listed under Optimizations and under Extra Tools. The Disk Cleanup Wizard will also run automatically after all Optimization and Extra Tools processes have completed.
