EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.

OptionFlow is an intrusive application classified by infosec researchers as adware. Usually, applications of this type are not downloaded and installed by the users willingly. Instead, they are distributed through dubious software bundles, fake installers or other questionable methods. This is why adware, browser hijackers, and other similar programs are all regarded as PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs).
When it comes to OptionFlow specifically, its primary targets are Mac users. The main purpose of the application is to generate unwanted advertisements as part of an annoying ad campaign. Unlike other adware programs, OptionFlow also is equipped with the additional functionality of disrupting or outright removing ad-blocking apps that may be installed on the Mac. While OptionFlow is present on the system, users also may suffer from noticeable slowdowns in the operation of their Safari browsers.
It is strongly recommended for users to use a healthy dose of caution when interacting with OptionFlow and its related advertisements. After all, advertisements delivered by such unfamiliar and unproven sources are mostly used to show users offers for additional PUPs or take them to suspicious third-party websites. The destinations of the redirects may be scam pages, fake giveaways, various phishing schemes, or even compromised platforms spreading ransomware, backdoors and other malware threats.
