MyDisk or My Disk is a misleading security application that claims to defragment your hard drive in order to optimize your systems performance. MyDisk is related to rogue software such as HDD Low, Memory Fixer and HDD Fix. MyDisk is distributed by Trojans, malicious websites or fake online scanners. On successful installations and execution, MyDisk will flood a victim's system with error messages, security alerts and a fake online scanner. The scanner will report 11 critical errors in the system hard drive, CPU or memory. The error messages will also report errors and prompt the victim to purchase the full version of MyDisk in order to repair all the errors. A victim may also lose access to other programs and all the desktop icons may disappear. Do not allow this rogue to alarm you, all the error detections made by MyDisk are fake and should be ignored. If you are infected with MyDisk it is advisable to use a good security application to remove the threat and any other malware it came bundled with.
