Mafntask

Some Mac users may have noticed a strange new process named mafntask (or maftask) appearing on their systems suddenly. This specific process is associated with an application called Mac Auto Fixer. Mafntask is responsible for executing the Mac Auto Fixer application on each system start. If you wish to stop the process from running and prevent the application from being started automatically, then remove the Mafntask executable file located in the following location - '/Users/test/Library/Application Support/maf/maftask.app/Contents/MacOS/maftask' folder.

Users may not have even realized that Mac Auto Fixer is present on their Macs due to the deceptive distribution techniques employed by the application. The goal of these underhanded tactics, such as hiding the installation of the app inside a fake updater/installer for another product, is to drop the application on the system without attracting the attention of the user. Once installed, Mac Auto Fixer will initiate a scan of the Mac automatically, which will detect numerous issues that could be security, smart scan, and privacy-related inadvertently. However, the free version of the application, will not be able to deal with the supposed errors. Instead, users will be directed towards purchasing the paid versions. Keep in mind that there are numerous applications that operate in an effectively identical manner and not all of them can be trusted to display legitimate issues.

To remove the Mac Auto Fixer application from your Mac manually, locate and delete the following files:
