LinearRadial

LinearRadial is an intrusive application spread via dubious distribution methods. This is a characteristic typical for PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs), as users are highly unlikely to install such applications on their systems willingly. As a result, PUPs rely heavily on questionable tactics, such as dubious installers or shady software bundles. It should be noted that LinearRadial is designed to target Mac users specifically and its primary function is that of adware.

Adware applications generate revenue for their operators via the delivery of unwanted advertisements to the user's device. The advertisements are rarely for legitimate products, services or websites. Instead, they could be promoting various untrustworthy or outright unsafe destinations. Users could see advertisements for hoax websites, phishing portals, fake giveaways, or additional PUPs under the guise of seemingly useful applications.

Another major concern stemming from the fact that a PUP application is present on the system is the risk of data tracking. These invasive programs are notorious for spying on users' browsing activities or gathering numerous device details. Some PUPs are even equipped with the necessary functionality to extract account, banking, or payment details from the autofill data of the user's Web browser.
