EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:

The AdLoad malware family is expanding with more adware applications being released by unscrupulous people. InfinityHardware is exactly such an application that analysis has confirmed to be part of the AdLoad threat family. The application is classified as adware and also pretends to contain various useful features. Of course, users rarely download such programs intentionally, as most adware, browser hijackers, and PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) are spread via manipulative and deceptive methods, such as bundling and fake software installers.
Once delivered on the user's Mac system, InfinityHardware will engage its intrusive programming and start running an annoying and potentially risky ad campaign. Users will soon experience a noticeable increase in the advertisements encountered while browsing. The advertisements may be presented in the form of pop-ups, banners, in-text links, surveys, etc.
It is vital for users to remember not to engage with any of the advertisements generated by InfinityHardware. Typically, such advertisements are used as promotional tools for suspicious software products and PUPs, shady betting platforms, online game sites, fake giveaways, or even threatening compromised pages that may contain malware threats. The advertisements may even lead users to legitimate products with the operators of the PUP hoping to earn illegal commission fees in the process.
