Freshyearmarts.shop is an untrustworthy website that appears to be solely dedicated to running various tactics. When cybersecurity researchers analyzed the page, they were presented with a phishing scheme disguised as a T-mobile giveaway. In addition, Freshyearmarts.shop may ask users to enable its push notifications.
As part of the tactic, the site claims that its visitors are among the few selected to win a lucrative prize, such as a Samsung Galaxy S22 or an Apple iPad Pro. To earn the chance to win either one of the two prizes, users are told that they have to complete a short survey. Typically, hoax websites also will ask for various personal information, such as phone numbers, home addresses, emails, or even banking and credit card details. Another popular behavior includes asking users to pay some sort of an 'administration' or 'shipping' fee before they can receive their supposed prizes.
Users should exercise caution when encountering websites such as Freshyearmarts.shop. Furthermore, they should never subscribe to these pages' push notifications or risk being subjected to a constant influx of annoying and unwanted advertisements. The advertisements are likely to promote intrusive PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) or questionable destinations.
