FlyStudio Ransomware

By GoldSparrow in Ransomware

FlyStudio Ransomware, or sometimes referred to as iTunes FlyStudio Ransomware, is a threat that is written in Chinese that conducts virtually the same functions as many other popularized ransomware threats. Such actions start with the spread of FlyStudio Ransomware, which commonly takes place through spam email attachments.

Computers infected by FlyStudio Ransomware are prone to having many files encrypted and appended with a unique file extension, sometimes the “.itunes” extension. While each file encrypted by FlyStudio Ransomware is easily identifiable, they cannot be accessed or opened, which is part of the task of FlyStudio Ransomware to lock up a system and hold the files hostage.

The hostage aspect of FlyStudio Ransomware will come to light from its ransom note, which will make stern demands to the computer user to pay a ransom fee that may amount to hundreds or sometimes thousands of dollars.

Instead of even contemplating paying the ransom, it is highly recommended that victimized computer users take the necessary action to first remove FlyStudio Ransomware, usually using an antimalware tool. Once FlyStudio Ransomware is eliminated, the user can then use a backup of their system to restore any files left encrypted by FlyStudio Ransomware.
