eTranslator is a small Web add-on that may work equally well in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. It may be useful for some clients because this extension offers free translations from and to dozens of languages. Despite the presence of this helpful feature, the security experts don't recommend keeping eTranslator because it is adware. The tool comes with a range of side effects, whose main purpose is to redirect the user to partner third-party platforms. The controversial plugin may be responsible for the creation of commercial materials that may appear in different formats. You may encounter banners, pop-ups, well-placed in-text ads, automatically launched videos and eye-catching animations. Exactly these new ads are the reason many PC users prefer to remove eTranslator.

The sponsored materials may appear regularly once you go online – it may even be hard for you to find a site that doesn't contain any ads by this adware. The fact that they may annoy you is the first reason to eliminate the add-on, but it is not the only one. You may soon enough notice that it takes more time than usual for the webpages to load. It can be explained by the nature of the commercial materials. Some of them, for example the animations and the videos, are regarded as heavy multimedia elements that may require a significant amount of resources to load. It will be understandable if the coupons and vouchers by eTranslator pose an interest to you. They may not be random but based on your surfing history. If you click on the ads, you may be transferred to questionable or even potentially unsafe sites, so you should just ignore them. The best way to prevent the commercial materials from loading is to scan your PC with suitable security software.
