CustomStrategic is a software program that claims to enhance the user's browsing experience and provide fast, accurate search results. In reality, this application operates as adware, displaying annoying ads while users are browsing and collecting information related to them without their knowledge or consent. Adware can display intrusive pop-ups, banners, coupons, surveys, and other forms of advertisements which can lead unsuspecting users to untrustworthy websites.
CustomStrategic is also classified as PUP due to its ability to be installed on browsers or operating systems unintentionally or unknowingly. Operators of such intrusive apps often employ questionable tactics for their distribution. PUPs are often observed tobe included as parts of shady software bundles, outright fake installers, or being promoted by deceptive websites.
Aside from displaying ads, CustomStrategic also collects data about its users, such as IP addresses, geolocations, search queries, and other information related to their online activities.
