The ChatClap application is promoted at Chatclap.com as a tool that allows users to chat with friends from their desktop for free and offer better connection compared to Skype, WhatsApp and Viber. Computer users that are socially active and want to chat securely might wish to avoid installing the ChatClap application. Security investigators report that the ChatClap program is and adware that might bombard your desktop with numerous pop-up ads and load several new tab pages with promotional content as soon as you start your browser. The ChatClap adware is developed by Informer Technologies, Inc. and is packed with badware such as Reverse Page and CrossReader by using the INNO Setup Builder. The ChatClap adware may run as a browser service and might not appear in your browser's Add-on Manager. The ChatClap adware is similar to Crunch Travel and Moneyzila and may redirect users to online chat platforms like Rocket.chat and RummbleTalk to provide the functionality you were promised.
You should note that the ChatClap adware does not host messaging servers and does not feature a stand-alone chat service. However, the ChatClap adware may want to post promotional materials on your behalf while you write to your friends and family via Facebook, Telegram, IMO, and other messaging platforms. The ChatClap adware may use JavaScript to inject commercials into the videos you watch on YouTube, Dailymotion and Vimeo. The ads by ChatClap may include pornographic content from PornHub and redirect users to suspicious pages where one can buy brides from Russia and the Middle East. Security investigators warn users that the ChatClap adware may connect to the Internet over insecure channels and expose users to threats like Rotbrow and BCMiner. Computer users may face a hard time removing the ChatClap adware manually because it might edit their Windows Registry to hide its folder. You could install a trustworthy anti-malware application to detect and remove any residual files associated with the ChatClap adware securely.
