Bbbw Ransomware
The Bbbw Ransomware belongs to the STOP/Djvu Ransomware family. This particular malware family has been enjoying continued popularity among cybercriminals, due to the ease with which new variants can be created. Despite possessing nearly identical behavior and functionalities, the numerous STOP/Djvu variants remain extremely potent and destructive.
The Bbbw Ransomware is not an exception, and any computer that it infects will be impacted significantly. The price of the ransom is set at exactly $980, but users can apparently cut it down to $490 with the only requirement being that they contact the hackers within the first 72 hours of the attack. As part of their messages, affected users also can attach a single encrypted file. The cybercriminals state that they will unlock and send the file back for free.
