EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecard
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:
Ranking: The ranking of a particular threat in EnigmaSoft’s Threat Database.
Severity Level: The determined severity level of an object, represented numerically, based on our risk modeling process and research, as explained in our Threat Assessment Criteria.
Infected Computers: The number of confirmed and suspected cases of a particular threat detected on infected computers as reported by SpyHunter.

AllPCOptimizer is a PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program). AllPCOptimizer has numerous clones with names such as OnePCOptimizer and WinPCOptimizer. AllPCOptimizer may be installed automatically. In many cases, AllPCOptimizer may be installed by threats as a way of monetizing a Trojan or rootkit infection. AllPCOptimizer cannot be trusted. Even if AllPCOptimizer were effective at optimizing your computer, the fact that AllPCOptimizer is installed automatically would disqualify AllPCOptimizer as a security risk completely. Once installed, AllPCOptimizer will try to convince you that your computer is infected with threats or presents numerous errors as a way to trick you into paying for an expensive 'full version' of AllPCOptimizer. Computer users should avoid following any of AllPCOptimizer's instructions and instead remove AllPCOptimizer with the help of a reliable, fully updated anti-malware application.

Methods that may be Used by AllPCOptimizer to Enter a Computer
It is possible for computer users to download and install AllPCOptimizer from its official website. However, few AllPCOptimizer users install this program voluntarily. In most cases, AllPCOptimizer is installed either by bundling AllPCOptimizer with other software or using threat delivery techniques such as drive-by downloads, attack websites or corrupted email attachments. One particularly worrying aspect of AllPCOptimizer is that if this bogus system optimizer is on your computer, it may indicate that other unwanted components also have been installed. AllPCOptimizer does not have the capacity to detect problems on your computer or improve its functioning in any way and, in fact, its presence may make a computer's performance decrease substantially. Because of this, AllPCOptimizer should be removed immediately.
How the AllPCOptimizer Misleading Tactic Works
The main way in which AllPCOptimizer will try to trick you is by displaying numerous fake error messages and warnings to make you believe that your computer is in trouble. The following are examples of error messages that may be linked to AllPCOptimizer:
You might be a victim of software counterfeiting. You may not be able to use this PC without completing the activation.
To acquire a genuine copy of license please click on "Update Now".
If you receive any error please contact free windows technical support […] 1-800-311-5943
Error Code 0XFB0111 "KOOB-FACE.TROJAN" Found, Could not connect to Windows Activation server. This could be due to a problem with your computer security.
Your computer data and financial information might be at risk.
These fake error messages can be stopped by removing AllPCOptimizer from your computer. If you try to use AllPCOptimizer to fix these supposed problems, additional error messages claiming that it is necessary to pay $19.99 USD for a 'licensed version' of AllPCOptimizer may appear. You may have observed that one of the error messages contains a phone number for 'free technical support.' You should not call the AllPCOptimizer phone number. This number puts the computer users in contact with con artists that will try to convince them to disclose their credit card data and install a RAT (Remote Access Trojan).
Software that scares computer users into paying for fake security protection is quite common. In fact, these types of tactics that may involve bogus anti-virus software, are among the oldest types of online hoaxes. Fortunately for computer users dealing with AllPCOptimizer, this program is a less severe version of these types of tactics. More threatening types of rogue security software may go as far as blocking access to software on the computer or to the Internet (usually for the computer user's 'own protection').
