The ZiperFly application from Howard Software Ltd. claims to be a free alternative to WinRAR and allow you to create, operate and modify archive files. The ZiperFly archive manager has a free and ad-supported version and a paid version that has no ads and can be purchased for $1.99. Security analysts report that ZiperFly is seen to travel in the company of adware such as HugeApps and browser hijackers like Lp.great-free-apps.net, and you should reconsider installing it. The ZiperFly application is classified as a Potentially Unwanted Program that responsible users may not want on their PC. As stated above, ZiperFly has an ad-supported version that is spread among users via freeware packages, and users may see pop-ups and banners in their browser. The advertisements pushed by ZiperFly may contain links to harmful domains and suggest you to install Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs) and Immunizr that may open vulnerabilities in your system. When users install the ZiperFly application, it will edit their Windows Registry values to become the default archive manager on their system. ZiperFly may bring up notifications in the tray area that urge users to purchase its ad-free version often. The ZiperFly application may attach a plug-in to your Web browser to show commercials and may slow it down. Computer users that want the ability to operate and create archive files may wish to abstain from installing ZiperFly and use a trustworthy anti-malware instrument to remove it.
