Yoursecuresoft.com is a website designed specifically to deliver dubious content to its visitors. What exactly will users see on the page, may depend on a combination of various facto, such as their IP address, geolocation, browser type and potentially more. It can run push notification tactics, cause unwanted redirects to other untrustworthy destinations on the Internet and more.
Cybersecurity researchers have confirmed that Yoursecuresoft.com also is running a version of the 'Your PC is infected with viruses!' Scam. Once the page is opened, it will generate multiple pop-ups designed to appear as urgent security warnings coming from a reputable source. Indeed, Yoursecuresoft.com may show a fake malware scan that resembles the interface of Norton, while the other security alerts imitate messages coming from McAfee. The goal of these fake alerts and claims about detecting multiple malware threats on the system is to scare users into installing a promoted application or buying a subscription for a legitimate product.
In the first case, the scam is most likely used as a method for the distribution of an intrusive PUP (Potentially Unwanted Program) that could have adware, browser hijacker or other invasive functionalities. Alternatively, when a real product is being pushed by the page, the fraudsters are most likely trying to earn illegitimate commission fees from each sale.
