'Your Password Expires Today' Email Scam

The 'Your Password Expires Today' email scam is part of a well-used tactic. It pretends to be a message from Microsoft, informing the computer users that their supposed '90 day account security validity period expires today' and, 'to avoid temporary issues regarding their Microsoft account, they must revalidate their account.' Needless to say that this is not true and your Microsoft account and password are still fine. The email was sent by fraudsters, which objective is to scare you and make you believe that you need to act promptly, otherwise you will not be able to work normally.

The email contains a button 'Keep Password' that, when pressed, shows a hyperlink that will load numerous unsafe websites promoting shady downloads pretending to be useful security tools., updates and other necessary programs. Below is the email's content:
