Computer users may be tempted to click on a message saying Your File is Ready to Download, to discover which file it is talking about. However, they will be very disappointed when discovering that the Your File is Ready to Download is nothing more than a browser-based tactic that will use bogus error warnings to convince the computer users that they need to install threatening browser extensions to fix the fake problems. These browser extensions, if installed may display numerous, intrusive advertisements and change the browser settings.

The Fake Message
