Yoga Search

The Yoga Search browser extension for Google Chrome that you might find in free software bundles is deemed as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP). The Yoga Search extension does not have an official page on the Chrome Web Store and cannot be installed unless you unpack the extension to the browser's extensions directory. Usually, the Yoga Search extension is installed on computers when the user does not explore the 'Advanced' and 'Custom' option of program bundles. The Yoga Search extension may seem like an alternative to the Yoga New Tab by Onlygoodlife.co but it is a modified version of the EzSearch program, which appeared in September 2014 for the first time. EzSearch behaved as an adware, and now we see the Yoga Search extension in the company of riskware such as ConvertAd and IBryte.

A closer inspection of the Yoga Search revealed that installing the application may result in changing your browser's shortcuts. Your Google Chrome shortcut may not point to [Drive]:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe but to [Drive]:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\Extensions\ikmapcaeknfgfmjlibnhcbchfablckbpa. PC users who have the Yoga Search extension attached to their Internet client may notice a small icon of an eye in the navigation panel, which is the icon used by Yoga Search. The new tab page may include sponsored links, and you may notice a notification in the status bar that says 'Connecting to Technows.ws' and 'Transfering data to Technows.ws.' The Technows.ws site is recorded to receive Web traffic from users who have installed the Yoga Search extension. It is possible that the makers of the Yoga Search extension are using Technows.ws to collect search keywords and record your browsing history, which can be sold to advertisers. We recommend removing the Yoga Search extension as it does not appear to have any useful features and performs various browser redirects. AV engines and security scanners may detect the resources associated with the Yoga Search and show security alerts that include the following names:
