/WunderWeb is a malware infection categorized as adware that shows out-of-context advertisements on the compromised PC, and inserts unwanted ads and hyperlinks into hijacked websites on a hacked web browser. While being installed on the vulnerable computer, WunderWeb may alter system settings by downloading malicious files and adding registry entries. WunderWeb may install itself as a BHO (browser helper object) on the compromised web browser. WunderWeb may show a variety of offers pertaining to the targeted computer user's web browsing habits. Adware:Win32/WunderWeb may come packed and installed on the corrupted PC by other freeware and shareware applications without the computer user's consent. When installed, WunderWeb may add a browser plug-in on the web browser.
