Worm.Morto.D is a worm that can access the targeted Windows PCs with the aim of distributing its main payload that it obtains from a remote server. Worm.Morto.D can easily connect to the Internet without the victim's knowledge and fulfill numerous harmful activities that can destroy the corrupted workstation. Worm.Morto.D copies itself in order to circulate to other PCs. Worm.Morto.D checks the network and looks for computer systems that are connected through RDP sessions (Remote Desktop service) and notes down all the IP addresses that can be detected in the affected computer's subnet, so that Worm.Morto.D could connect to those computers using certain user names and passwords. Worm.Morto.D drops more malware infections on the infected computer. Worm.Morto.D also obtains instructions from a remote server to initiate a Denial of Service (DoS) attacks against particular websites and servers.
