Worm.Colowned.A is a dangerous worm application which helps other malware infections access a computer system more easily. Worm.Colowned.A gives remote access to the affected PC system to attackers with questionable aims. Computer systems corrupted by a Worm.Colowned.A can be used in a variety of harmful activities without users' authorization, most often as part of a Denial of Service attack (DDoS attack). Worm.Colowned.A also installs a downloader or dropper Trojan infection to the compromised PC system, which has the tendency to install a proxy Trojan which is used to relay spam or keylogger Trojans to the computer system. These malware infections control and send keystrokes to remote criminals. This puts the victim in jeopardy of further cyber-crime in the form of identity and financial fraud.
