Threat Database Ransomware World2022decoding Ransomware

World2022decoding Ransomware

Cybersecurity experts have uncovered a dangerous malware threat named World2022decoding Ransomware. The threat can be used in ransomware attacks to lock the data of the chosen targets. If deployed successfully, World2022decoding will leave the archives, databases, documents, PDFs, photos, etc. of its victims in an entirely unusable state. The strong cryptographic algorithm utilized by the threat will prevent the affected users from restoring their files.

A notable sign of a World2022decoding infection could be found in the names of all impacted files. Indeed, the threat will append an ID string and a specific file extension to each locked file. The ID string is a unique identifier generated for each victim while the used file extension is '.world2022decoding.' When all targeted data has been processed, the malware will proceed to the next step on its programming - the delivery of a ransom note to the victims. The message will be dropped on the desktop of the breached devices in the form of a file named 'WE CAN RECOVER YOUR DATA.MHT.'

Reading the ransom note doesn't reveal the exact sum that the cybercriminals want to receive as a ransom. The message does state, however, that victims can send a single file to be decrypted for free. The file can be attached to an email and sent to the 'world2022decoding@onionmail.com' address. A backup email is also mentioned at 'world2022decoding@jabb.im.' Keep in mind that cybercriminals cannot be trusted and any communication with such individuals or groups could expose the victims to additional privacy or security risks.

The full ransom-demanding message left by World2022decoding Ransomware is:

'YOUR FILES ARE ENCRYPTED

Your files, documents, photos, databases and other important files are encrypted.

You are not able to decrypt it by yourself! The only method of recovering files is to purchase an unique private key. Only we can give you this key and only we can recover your files.

To be sure we have the decryptor and it works you can send an email: world2022decoding@onionmail.com and decrypt one file for free. But this file should be of not valuable!

Do you really want to restore your files?

Write to email: world2022decoding@onionmail.com

Reserved email: world2022decoding@jabb.im

Your personal ID:

Attention!

Do not rename encrypted files.

Do not try to decrypt your data using third party software, it may cause permanent data loss.

Decryption of your files with the help of third parties may cause increased price (they add their fee to our) or you can become a victim of a scam.'
