WinThruster by Solvusoft Corporation is advertised on www.solvusoft.com/en/winthruster as a program that can help users maximize the performance of their PCs. The WinThruster software is offered as a capable system optimizer to novice and advanced users alike. Users may install WinThruster with a freeware bundle since Solvusoft Corporation is partnering with free software developers. The WinThruster software is delivered to users with an evaluation license, which allows you to test your machine for errors and receive a report on what problems are found. PC users will need to buy a PRO license for WinThruster if they wish to fix the errors found during the evaluation period of 30 days. The PRO key for WinThruster comes with another app named WinSweeper, which is supposed to be a tool to secure your privacy by cleaning up cookies and browser history. Researchers tested WinThruster by Solvusoft Corporation and found out that it may use deceptive tactics to lure users into buying a license for 29.96 USD.
The table of results in the WinThruster program interface is color-coded, and WinThruster tends to show problems in red regardless of the severity of the issue. For example, missing file types association and residual data from browser add-ons are flagged as severe system errors. Computer experts do not approve of how WinThruster presents results and the scanning routine it uses. The developers of the WinThruster program may take advantage of users with limited Windows OS knowledge to claim revenue. We should note that Solvusoft Corporation may urge users to add a service named 'Extended Download Service' to their purchase which will cost extra. The 'Extended Download Service' by Solvusoft Corporation allows users to keep a copy of their key online in case their PCs crash or is compromised by threats. Additionally, the license for WinThruster will be renewed every year automatically unless the user contacts the customer support of Solvusoft Corporation via phone and deny the automatic renewal. Experts perceive the WinThruster application as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may show misleading messages and cost users more money than it is worth. You may want to consider removing WinThruster with a credible anti-spyware tool and make sure no residual data is left.
