Window-save.com is an untrustworthy website that has been confirmed to perform a variation of an online tactic known as 'Your PC is infected with 5 viruses!' Users who land on a site running this particular tactic will be presented with several pop-ups containing various false security alerts and warnings. The goal of the con artists is to scare the visitors into installing a promoted product or buying a subscription for one.
In general, the behavior of these con websites is virtually identical. They display prominently the brand logos, names, and designs of legitimate security vendors, such as Norton or, as is in this case, McAfee. Users must always remember that no reputable company will resort to promoting their products through such dubious and shady methods. The claims made by Window-save.com should also be completely disregarded.
Indeed, despite the site showing a window with the results of a malware scan, this is not a functionality that a website can possess on its own. Not to mention, that rather curiously, this scan always detects 5 malware threats lurking on the user's device. No matter how serious the messages displayed by the scam website may seem, users should not follow the listed instructions. Even if the promoted app is a real one, the fraudsters are most likely using it to earn illegitimate commission fees.
The messages displayed by Windows-save.com could be similar to:
'McAfee

Your McAfee Subscription Has Expired!

If your PC is unprotected, it is at risk for viruses and other malware.'
