WARLOCK DARK ARMY Ransomware
The goal of the cybercriminals behind the WARLOCK DARK ARMY Ransomware threat is to lock the data of their victims and then extort them for money, in the form of a ransom payment. The vast majority of ransomware attack operations follow this pattern - once activated on the breached devices, they will target the data of the victims and encrypt it with an uncrackable cryptographic algorithm. The impacted documents, archives, databases, images, photos, PDFs and other files will no longer be accessible.
An important characteristic of the WARLOCK DARK ARMY Ransomware is that analysis has confirmed it is a variant of the previously identified Chaos Ransomware threat. Victims also will notice that their files now have an explicit file extension ('.fuckcrypt') attached to their names. A new text file named 'read_it.txt' will be created on the device, as a way to deliver a ransom note with instructions from the cybercriminals.
The ransom note reveals that the threat actors demand to be paid the sum of $100 in Bitcoin. However, the mentioned Bitcoin value of 0.1473766 BTC far exceeds the ransom amount. At the current exchange rate of the cryptocurrency, the stated BTC value is close to $3000. Victims are expected to contact the hackers' Telegram account at '@WARLOCK_MAK' to receive the specific crypto-wallet wallet to which the money is supposed to be transmitted.

Your computer was infected with a ransomware virus. Your files have been encrypted and you won't
be able to decrypt them without our help.What can I do to get my files back?You can buy our special

ransomware from your computer.The price for the software is $100. Payment can be made in Bitcoin only.
