W32.Shadesrat
W32.Shadesrat is a malicious computer worm that makes effort to propagate through instant messaging programs and file-sharing applications. W32.Shadesrat is able to hijack the audio or video applications on the infected PC system. It also corrupts additional files to disable certain system functions. W32.Shadesrat opens up a backdoor to allow a remote attacker access the compromised PC. W32.Shadesrat uses existing network exploits to steal personal information from Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Outlook. W32.Shadesrat should be removed immediately once it is detected on the PC.
