W32.Qakbot!gen3 is a heuristic detection for malware threats associated with the W32.Qakbot family. W32.Qakbot!gen3 is a computer worm that propagates via network shares and contains rootkit functionality. Once W32.Qakbot!gen3 is inside a computer system it will open a backdoor and download additional malware. W32.Qakbot!gen3 may also steal confidential information from an infected PC.
