W32/Dorkbot-AM is a malignant worm that is a component of a spam campaign that spreads malware and affects computer users in Latin America. W32/Dorkbot-AM is involved in a fake email which claims to bring breaking news of the death of Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez. The spam email message claims that government officials had confirmed the death of 57-year-old Chavez, after a struggle against cancer. The bogus email on Chavez's imaginary death is supposedly sent by a newspaper website and links to a video. If the affected computer user clicks the malicious link, he/she installs W32/Dorkbot-AM on his/her computer system. It is strongly recommended to avoid clicking on the link to prevent W32/Dorkbot-AM. W32/Dorkbot-AM should be deleted as soon as possible from the corrupted computer system.
