EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.
EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards display a variety of useful information, including:

VirTool:INF/Vobfus.gen is a worm, which circulates to local, network or removable drives as an infected 'autorun.inf' file. When creating a copy of itself to one of the drives on the corrupted PC, VirTool:INF/Vobfus.gen may create a file called 'autorun.inf', which includes instructions for the OS of the compromised PC's. These instructions tell the victim to load VirTool:INF/Vobfus.gen when the attacked computer user accesses a drive. The 'autorun.inf' file, which is found as VirTool:INF/Vobfus.gen, will make modifications to the default opening behavior of the drive, so that instead of just opening the drive to look at the files inside, the computer user might accidentally tell the drive to run, much like what happens when the PC inserts a CD into the computer and it automatically starts to install an application. Once the drive is run, it loads VirTool:INF/Vobfus.gen.
