VirTool:INF/Autorun.gen!F is a malware infection, which circulates as a malevolent autorun.inf file. VirTool:INF/Autorun.gen!F often arrives with an executable file that it calls whenever the computer user accesses the corrupted drive. However, not all autorun.inf files are infectious; applications and discs use the file to automate the functioning of genuine programs using it. By creating a malevolent autorun.inf file, the victim may unexpectedly run a virus or worm when the corrupted drive is used. If a security program detects VirTool:INF/Autorun.gen!F on either fixed or removable drives, it specifies that some malware infections strives to run a computer worm. Malevolent autorun.inf file is in text-based format and is usually concealed in the compromised PC.
