EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are assessment reports for different malware threats which have been collected and analyzed by our research team. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards evaluate and rank threats using several metrics including real-world and potential risk factors, trends, frequency, prevalence, and persistence. EnigmaSoft Threat Scorecards are updated regularly based on our research data and metrics and are useful for a wide range of computer users, from end users seeking solutions to remove malware from their systems to security experts analyzing threats.

Users encountering the Vipcatpcha.live website should exercise caution. The page is likely to display a fake scenario designed to lure visitors into enabling its push notifications. This is a common behavior among rogue websites that lack any useful content and exists only as platforms for online tactics. Users should be warned that the exact scenario and messages they see could be based on their specific IP address/geolocation.
Still, the most commonly exploited scenario consists of the rogue website claiming that users must pass a CAPTCHA check. The implication is clear - to see gain access to the supposed content of the page, visitors must follow the presented instructions. The shown message could be similar to:
'CLICK ALLOW TO CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE NOT A ROBOT!'
What these sites rarely reveal is that by pressing the button users will be subscribed to the page's notifications. In practice, this means that the dubious website will now be perfectly able to deliver advertisements to the device in the form of pop-ups, banners, notifications, etc. One of the bigger risks is that the advertisements generated by unproven sources often promote additional, untrustworthy destinations. As such, users could see advertisements for fake giveaways, fabricated reward or loyalty programs, disguised phishing or technical support frauds, questionable online gambling/gaming portals, etc. In addition, by clicking 'Allow' users may trigger forced redirects leading to more rogue websites.
