UtilityParze (Adware.MacOS.UtilityParze), also known as Utility Parze and Utility Parse, is an adware program that affects Mac computers. Users typically install it unintentionally on their PCs through a method called "bundling" in which developers embed additional tools in the installers of software offered for free download. Another common way of distributing Utility Parse is fake Flash Player update pop-ups, which prompt the user to install an updated version of the player. Due to its deceptive and misleading means of distribution, malware researchers classify Utility Parse as a Potentially Unwanted Application (PUA).

Although you may not know how your Mac got infected with Utility Parse, there are specific symptoms through which this dubious tool will manifest its presence. Your device may become slow, crash, or freeze more often than usual. Further, you may notice that unknown browser extensions have been added to your browser and that a pop-up message saying "Utility Parze" wants access to control "Google Chrome.app" ("Safari.app"). Allowing control will provide access to documents and data in "Google Chrome.app" ("Safari.app"), and to perform actions within this app. appears regularly on your screen. You will also get flooded with various banners, coupons, deals, and other commercial content that will show up on top of any other content while you surf the Internet. Redirects to unsafe websites are another symptom of Utility Parse adware.

Apart from all these inconveniences, Utility Parse is also a serious threat to your online security. It can be set up to spy on your browsing activity and collect sensitive information. Removal could be complicated as Utility Parse installs many additional tools on different locations of the Mac computer to ensure its persistence. It is recommended to use an automated removal tool.
