Unfriend Check is an adware program, which promotes itself as a software product being able to improve computer users' Facebook accounts; however, when installed on a targeted computer, Unfriend Check will show disturbing pop-up advertisements and sponsored links on the websites that are visited by Internet users. Unfriend Check is created by scammers with the purpose to make a profit from raised website traffic and click fraud. Unfriend Check generates web traffic and grabs sales leads for other doubtful advertisement websites. Unfriend Check is an add-on for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome that is usually embedded when PC users install other free software products, such as PDF creators, download-managers or video recording/streaming, that had packaged into their installation Unfriend Check. When computer users install these free applications, they will also install Unfriend Check. When installed, whenever the PC user will visit Facebook, Amazon, Youtube or any other similar websites, Unfriend Check will show a 'See Similar' button on product images, which when clicked will deliver pop-up advertisements by Unfriend Check.
