The TwitterTime software from TimeApp Studio Ltd. is offered to active social media users that prefer to share content on the platform of Twitter. The TwitterTime software may claim to be a faster alternative to apps like TweetDeck and Aeries. The creators of the TwitterTime software may suggest that their product is recognized as an authorized client for Twitter, but that is not true. TwitterTime is free to use and relies on the support of marketers to make money and pay for server maintenance and development costs. Security analysts noticed that the digital certificate for TwitterTime is compromised, and malware developers might use it to deliver threatening software to your computer.
TimeApp Studio Ltd. has several other applications that travel with untrusted certificates, and you should be on the look out for WhatsappTime and DailyBee as well. The install package for the TwitterTime software is built with NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System) and may include unwanted browser extensions. We should note that the TwitterTime exchanges information over unprotected HTTP channels and users may be vulnerable to network spoofing and data theft. The TwitterTime software may welcome users to authorize the app in their account security settings to facilitate its operations. The TwitterTime software may require full access to the user's account, Web camera, and permission to exchange information with partners. Researchers classify TwitterTime as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP) that may allow you to load content from your Twitter page and provide you with channels to share content with your friends. However, TwitterTime software has an untrusted digital signature and lacks basic security features which users should not overlook. Responsible computer users may want to erase the TwitterTime software with the help of a trusted anti-spyware application effortlessly.
